Whole Plasmid Sequencing

Sample Requirements

Please submit at least 20 ul plasmid DNA in water or EDTA-free buffer at a concentration of 50 ng/ul. Purity as measured using Nanodrop – OD 260/280 of 1.8 and OD 260/230 of 2.0–2.2.  This service is optimised for plasmids between 2.5 kb and 25 kb. Samples may be sent at room temperature, there is no need for ice, dry ice or cooling blocks.

Samples and completed DNA sequencing request forms can be dropped off in the baskets provided in the Biochemistry receptions (Sanger or Hopkins Building) or posted to the facility at the following address:

Sequencing requests from anywhere other than Biochemistry must be accompanied by a printed purchase order.

Pricing

We charge £60 per plasmid.
