Talos Arctica™

by Thermo Fisher Scientific (formerly FEI Company) - highly automated transmission electron microscope designed for rapid screening and mid-resolution data collection of frozen-hydrated samples. 

  • Electron source Schottky X-FEG using accelerated voltage of 200 kV.
  • Falcon 3EC detector operated through the EPU software for automated data collection.
  • Robotic loading of up to 12 frozen samples for increased throughput.
  • Automated data collection mode enabling long unattended operation.
  • Volta Phase plate for increased phase contrast (currently not avaible).

Titan Krios™

by Thermo Fisher Scientific (formerly FEI Company) - a state-of-the-art automated transmission electron microscope for high-resolution data collection on frozen-hydrated samples.

  • Electron source Schottky X-FEG using accelerated voltages of 300 kV.
  • Detectors Falcon 3EC and K3 (Gatan Inc.).
  • Energy filter Gatan's Bioquantum GIF.
  • Robotic loading of up to 12 frozen samples for increased throughput.
  • Data collection operated through the EPU software collection enabling long unattended operation.
  • Volta Phase plate for increased phase contrast (currently not avaible).
